About Almi Foods

Almi is a Greek food brand, based in Alexandria (Imathia region, Northern Greece, near the port of Thessaloniki). The company started out modestly, in rented premises and with hired equipment, as the dream of chemist Tassos Mertzanidis and civil engineer Minas Mertzanidis in 1996, producing only one product: pickled Macedonian peppers. Today the company has privately owned premises, occupying 7.500 m2 in a total area of 50 acres and producing over 25 different products.

Starting in 2001, with the addition of stuffed red peppers, the brand started expanding its product range, meeting the needs of the market with new, high-quality products and new packaging types. In 2002, came the production of the first line of products with organic farming raw materials, one of the first brands to engage in bio food, not just at a local level but worldwide.

Today, Almi brand continues to develop new products and become stronger through significant and long-established collaborations such as with the German Reichold Feinkost GmbH, a historic and leading company with a similar product range.
