FOOD EXPO goes Hybrid

The largest Food & Beverage trade show in Southeast Europe comes in a new, hybrid format, blending a bricks and mortar presence with digital interaction through the FOOD EXPO B2B Platform. Adapted to the new circumstances created by the COVID-19 pandemic, and facing the latest public health issues with a sense of responsibility, this new and innovative version of the FOOD EXPO fair, launched in 2021, will establish the best and safest conditions that will ensure commercial effectiveness and success for both its exhibitors and visitors. From May 29 to June 1, 2021, the first hybrid trade show in Greece will give the opportunity to a great number of companies from all across the world to showcase their products and services to thousands of important Greek and international food traders –whether they will attend the exhibition or not– and conclude significant agreements.

The future of trade shows starts at FOOD EXPO Hybrid 2021

During the bricks and mortar show, the Metropolitan Expo exhibition center in Athens, Greece, will be laid out in a way that will ensure larger corridors; the attendance of visitors will be controlled; and special safety measures for exhibitors and visitors will be implemented. In addition, new participation options will be offered to exhibitors through turnkey stands. Furthermore, the digital version of FOOD EXPO 2021 will offer Greek visitors and international food traders, who will not be able to attend the exhibition in person, the possibility of a unique interactive experience. The digital show will be achieved through the FOOD EXPO B2B Platform, an intuitive online platform launched this year by FORUM SA, which aims to bring the exhibitors of FOOD EXPO 2021 in contact, not only with the trade show’s hosted buyers but with thousands of international F&B traders, as well, who due to the new circumstances created by the pandemic may not be able to travel to the exhibition.

The benefits of the FOOD EXPO B2B Platform

Through the FOOD EXPO B2B Platform, FOOD EXPO 2021 exhibitors will have the opportunity to create a personalized profile of their business, where their products and services will be showcased. They will also be able to hold pre-arranged one-on-one meetings with key buyers from all over the world, and network with Greek and international buyers that will not attend the trade show in person. At the same time, through the B2B Platform, international food traders will be given the chance to go through the exhibitors’ profiles, as well as get to know an extensive range of Greek and international products and services. Finally, they will be able to schedule one-on-one meetings via chat or video call with exhibitors either during the course of the trade show or for a specific period of time after its end.

A comprehensive and targeted marketing plan

FORUM SA, the organizers of FOOD EXPO, has at its disposal an extensive database with the contacts of significant buyers, from target markets all across the world, to whom the company will communicate the FOOD EXPO B2B Platform as well as the new Hybrid format of the trade show via an email marketing campaign. Following a comprehensive marketing plan, FOOD EXPO Hybrid 2021 is expected to attract even more important buyers from target markets for the Greek F&B products, with a view to encourage them to register on the B2B Platform so they could get in touch with the show’s exhibitors and engage in new business activities with them.
