Despite the unfavorable economic situation, the Hellenic Breweries of Atalanti (EZA), one of the major Greek breweries, has just completed a significant investment of €10 million, already putting into operation the new packaging line in glass bottles at its Atalanti factory.
“EZA remains committed to its vision of growing and constantly evolving. The new bottling line, one of the most modern and flexible in the country, contributes to the recurrence of the company’s competitive advantages and to the digital transformation of its operation,” states the company. “In addition, it seals –even in such a difficult circumstance– the business commitment and continuous development of the EZA brand, confirming its role as national champion of the beer industry.”

Upgrading the Atalanti factory

The new investment is complementing the state-of-the-art packaging line in aluminum cans, which was completed in 2016, while it is part of the company’s total investment plan, amounting to €29.8 million for the period 2013-2020. Mr Athanassios Syrianos, President of the Hellenic Breweries of Atalanti, explains that “the new bottling line is a significant investment for the evolution and the course of our factory, which lays the foundations for the new reality after the difficult period experienced by the country. This way, we update our competitive advantages and promote the digital transformation of our operation.”
