Greek products are slowly but surely receiving the acknowledgement they deserve as international businesses are expressing an increased interest in them –even during the COVID-19 pandemic. To wit, according to a letter from the Office of Economic and Commercial Affairs of the Greek Embassy in Tel Aviv to the Greek chambers, Shufersal, Israel’s longest-standing supermarket chain, is looking to integrate Greek products on the shelves of its 272 stores.
The Israeli chain is already in cooperation with Greek companies as in the last five months it has included some Greek products, mainly cookies, on its shelves. However, the letter states Shufersal’s intention to immediately include even more new and innovative products from the food, cosmetics and hygiene sectors.
