After the elections held during the 52nd Annual Ordinary General Assembly of the Panhellenic Association of Table Olive Processors – Formulators – Exporters (PEMETE), on September 10, 2022, there is a new Board of Directors. The composition of the new board is as follows:
President: Kostas Zoukas (AMALTHIA SA)
Vice-President A: Kostas Kontinos (IDEAL MAVRIDES-CHIMOS SA)
Vice President B: Vassilis Tripsas (TRIPSAS SA)
General Secretary: Haris Siouras (SIOURAS SA)
Treasurer: Aris Konstantopoulos (G.KONSTANTOPOULOS & SONS OE)
Members: Yannis Anagnostakos (SONS OF I.P. ANAGNOSTAKOU SA)
Vassilis Kamariaris (PELOPAC SA)
Leonidas Pr. Konstantopoulos (KONSTANTOPOULOS SA)
Lefteris Platanisiotis (GAIA FOODS SA)
The new Board of Directors will have a three-year term.
The new President
Kostas Zoukas was born in 1966 in the Municipality of Messolonghi. Growing up in a family who devoted its life to the olive, Mr. Zoukas, son of Thanasis Zoukas, founder of the olive processing and exporting company AMALTHIA S.A., based in Kefalovryso – Εtoliko, is currently the manager of the family company.
He is the father of 2 children and graduate of Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). He also holds a postgraduate degree in Finance and Investments of the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom.
Mr. Zoukas was a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Aetolia & Akarnania and vice-president of PEMETE (Panhellenic Association of Table Olives processors) from 2016 to 2022.
Being well aware of all the matters that concern the olive sector “from the field to the shelf” he advocates the need of modernizing and rationalizing business activities on the basis of a global market where Greek products and olives in particular rightfully occupy a dominant position.
