Mediterra: Acquisition of a 35% in Traditional Greek Products Ltd

Mediterra SA has just stated that on August 26, 2020 the acquisition of a shareholding of 35% of its subsidiary company under the name Traditional Greek Products Ltd. was finalized. The purchase price amounted to €5,000 and now Mediterra SA owns 100% of its subsidiary company.
At the same time, the acquisition completed the modification of the objective and the name of the company Traditional Greek Products Ltd. into “Mastiha Gastronomy Institute Single-Person Limited Liability Company” and the use of the brand name “mastiha Cooking School”.
The decision for this acquisition is linked to Mediterra’s intention to strengthen the nutritional dimension of Chios Mastiha and to promote the island of Chios as a gastronomic destination.

About Mediterra SA

Mediterra SA, was founded, in 17 June 2002 by the Chios Mastiha Growers Association, with main objectives the establishment of a marketing tool for mastiha (mastihashop), the development, production, promotion and sale of mastiha products worldwide, the development, production and sale of high quality Greek products, and the development and implementation of promotional activities.
To date Mediterra SA has developed a retail outlet network under the brand “mastihashop”, which comprises of 16 stores in Greece and abroad, has established a food production unit in Chios island, where over than 100 different products are produced, has developed a wide distribution network for natural mastiha, mastiha chewing gum, cosmetic products (under the name mastihacare), parapharmaceutical products (under the name MASTIHA, Art of Nature), Greek food products (under the name cultura mediterra), and mastiha liquer ENOSIS & KENTOS.
