Pindos free range chicken

“Pindos” free-range chicken continues to stand out for its great taste and unique quality, winning important distinctions in the international and domestic gastronomy market. For yet another year, “Pindos” free-range chicken is awarded at the international institution Superior Taste Awards 2022, receiving a 2 star distinction through a demanding 3-stage process by the institution’s international jury, which evaluated and awarded it with the superior iTQi taste award.

In addition, “Pindos” free range chicken received an equally important award at the Chef’s Choice Awards in the poultry products category, where distinguished Greek taste experts, through a “blind” cooking process, highlighted it as a top raw material proposal for the culinary creations of Greek chefs.

These two awards verify the high quality and exceptional taste of PINDOS free-range chicken. “Pindos” free-range chickens are raised on mountain farms in the province of Ioannina, at an altitude of more than 700m, for a period of more than 65 days. The method and environment of their rearing (access to outdoor grazing, strict standards of bird welfare) contribute to the high natural defense of free-range chickens, their high protein content, but also the strong taste and aroma, which makes the biggest difference taste-wise. The chickens are fed with 100% vegetable feed, certified from AGROCERT (governmental agency). Corn covers the highest percentage of these feeds and it is responsible for the distinctive bright yellow color, which is preserved even after cooking. At every stage of the production process, strict controls are applied, adapted to the food safety management standard ISO 22000: 2018, so that the consumer can enjoy safe and nutritious products of the highest quality.
