A few days ago, Unismack, a company producing snacks in northern Greece, has broken ground on a new building that will mark the expansion of its factory in the industrial area of Kilkis. The event marks a €6 million investment, which will increase the company’s production capacity by 50%.
The construction of the new building and the installation of the mechanical equipment will need at least six months to be completed, while this move marks the entry of Unismack into three new categories, which consist of products characterized by difficulty in processing. As explained by Mr Alexandros Stratakis, co-founder of Unismack, the 3,000 square meters unit is only the first stage of the expansion, as the company has already created the infrastructure to carry on the investment. At the same time, the fast-growing company in which Lime Capital Partners has invested, is already in collaboration with reputable universities for the development of new projects and the release of a series of new products. Namely, the release of a product that strengthens the immune system —for its development Unismack used machine learning technologies— is underway.
