Greek Wines in Vie Vinum 2024 Ambrosia Magazine

Greece was the country of honour at this year’s international and largest Austrian wine fair Vie Vinum that took place at the Hofburg exhibition center in the center of Vienna, 25 – 27 May 2024. In the context of Greece being the guest country, 22 Greek wineries participated in the exhibition, 19 of which are under the Hellenic Wine Association, demonstrating the dynamic presence of Greek winemaking on the international scene.

The Greek wine industry was represented by the following wineries: Gaia Winery, Kyr Yannis Estate, Avantis, Cavino, Spyropoulou Estate, Chateau Nico Lazaridi, Hatzimihali Estates, Skoura Estate, Kehri Winery, Diamantakos Estate, Papaioannou Estate, Boutari Winery, Diamantaki Winery, Book Country, Gerovasiliou Estate, Tsilili Winery, Alpha Estate, EOSS Samos, Santo Wines and Greek Wine Cellars.

According to the Vienna Office of Economic and Trade Affairs, Vie Vinum 2024 managed to attract 16,000 visitors, while 58 countries were represented, making this event a major attraction for the global wine industry.  It is noted that the next Vie Vinum event is scheduled for May 16-18 2026, aiming to further strengthen international partnerships in the wine sector.
