FOOD EXPO 2024: Resounding success with 34,931 visitors from all over the world

The number is stricking: 34,931 professionals from Organized Retail, Wholesale, Hotel and Catering industries – among 2,500 International Buyers and 1,000 Hosted Buyers from around the world! Numbers don’t lie: 50,000 specialty food and beverages, 1,300 exhibitors and 200 international companies.

Also, more than 1000 businesses from Greece showcased their products, through the participation of 13 Regions, 14 Chambers and 3 Municipalities at FOOD EXPO 2024. At this point it is important to mention that 52% of visitors came from the province, which confirms the range of commercial dynamics of the exhibition.

 

Unique products, F&B innovations, a panorama of traditional products

At the exhibitors’ booths, new products and trends that form an overall picture of the future of the industry were highlighted. Organic olive oil, as well as first-harvest virgin olive oil, products with eco-friendly packaging, honey and caviar with black garlic, children’s organic fruit bars, drinkable yogurt, vegan spreads & dips, granola with organic honey, premium Greek gin, fig jam with chocolate , nut and seed spreads, roasted olives, semolina in zero food waste packaging, delicacies with 0% sugar, salt with roe, vegetable spreads, coffee with mastic, vegan pies, pre-cooked pork and chicken gyro products, made from 100% Greek meat, were just some of the F&B trends we saw at the fair and won the impressions.

But also more traditional natural products that covered all the categories that a F&B professionals might be looking for: cheeses, dairy, pasta, fish, mollusks, meat products, pulses, jams, pastries, pies, spices, cold meats, olive oil and olive products, wines, liqueurs, beers, spirits and the list is endless… from every corner of our country but also from abroad were presented in a huge variety.

An exhibition that meets the needs of the international market

The large number of international buyers who visited FOOD EXPO proves its international character and global reach. The international buyers were impressed by the quality of both the exhibition and the fact that most exhibitors are ready to export their products, both in terms of quantities and prices. Finally, the fact that 200 companies from abroad chose to participate at FOOD EXPO proves that the exhibition is an important channel for promoting their products in the Greek market and confirms its international character and commercial dynamics at a global level.

Wines & spirits of excellent quality were presented

With a wide range of the finest Greek wines and premium spirits from well-known companies, and also young ambitious producers, Oenotelia met the demands of the wine market and stood out once again in a key wine trade show!

Workshops on F&B industry & live cooking shows that inspired

Visitors had the opportunity to attend top-notch speeches and interesting seminars by experts and executives from the business and academic sectors, as well as industry representatives at the Workshops & Seminars stage, enriching their knowledge and receiving full information on developments and new trends in the F&B industry. At the same time, the culinary excellence and quality of Greek products were showcased through the live cooking shows that took place at the Mediterranean Food Stage – Meze Project.

This was FOOD EXPO 2024 and its success story not only reflects the dynamics of the food and beverage industry but also proves in practice that the exhibition forms the most suitable business context for investment and highlights the trends and innovations shaping the food industry tomorrow.
